The German Federal Statistical Office recently announced the second year of a recession in the German economy, and the third is just around the corner. Many companies are deep in crisis or are already acutely threatened with insolvency. With my new reference book ‘Sustainable management of corporate crises. Immediate help for industrial companies and industry-related service providers’, I show the way out of the crisis and towards sustainable success.
The book is a project close to my heart. Not only because it is so topical, but also because it combines the focus of my management consultancy on reorganisation projects in the industrial sector and thus my decades of practical experience. The action-guiding solutions that I offer for every stage of the crisis have all been tried and tested by me personally in practice.
One of my theses: I do not necessarily accept external causes of crises, even if globalisation, war, rapid technological developments or customs duties are often used to explain crises. Truly resilient companies can compensate for many of these things. Building resilience is a question of organisational adaptability, which can be achieved with strategic competence, empowerment and a feedback culture. The effort is worthwhile – and I help with my book.
The book is now available in general bookshops or directly from Haufe Verlag: https://shop.haufe.de/prod/nachhaltige-bewaeltigung-von-unternehmenskrisen
